Our Mission

Friends of CASA is a non-profit organization providing financial support for abused and neglected children in the King County dependency system when there is no other available source. Our goal is to promote well-being, safety, and permanency in these children’s lives.

Friends of CASA funds a wide range of services and needs for children who are represented by Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASAs) in the King County Dependency court.

 What is a CASA?

A CASA is a volunteer appointed by the court to advocate for the best interest of children involved in legal proceedings in King County Dependency Court due to abuse or neglect. To learn more about the Dependency CASA program here: https://www.kingcountycasa.org/

Our Board

Friends of CASA (King County) has been providing support for children and families involved in the King County Dependency system since 1983.

Friends of CASA (King County) is led by a volunteer Board of Directors. Our Directors represent a diverse set of backgrounds and skills. Many board members are active or past CASA volunteers..

How We Are Funded

Friends of CASA depends entirely on private donations to provide services for children. We are grateful to our incredibly supportive donors, many of whom are also CASA volunteers.

Administrative expenses are funded by FOC Board Members and volunteers so 100% of all received donations can directly benefit children and families.
